Index of The Simplified Theory of Moral Sentiments
Simplified by Juan
SORAnomics (our proposed alternative to Economics) is based on metaphysics, specifically the aspect that deals in moral philosophy. For this reason, Adam Smith's Theory of Moral Sentiments has been simplified to be easier to understand.
This outline aims to guide decision-makers and future socio-economists faced with moral dilemmas so that their decisions will more likely benefit society instead of causing harm. The main difference between our moral system from those of Kantianism, Objectivism, Utilitarianism, Christianity, Islam, etc. is that ours is based on feeling or sentiment, as stated by David Hume. Our focus is to establish the correct understanding of our own feelings (through an impartial spectator as stated by Adam Smith and Eastern philosophy) so that the reasoning or logic that springs from it will be moral, or have a good effect on everyone and everything.
